Our standard Shower Service involves the removal of the existing wall grout from the walls of the shower down to the floor tile using specialised diamond tipped equipment. The grout is removed to the depth of half a tile which ensures correct bonding and guaranteed mould protection unlike the inferior “skim coat” method widely used by other shower repairer companies which can quickly fail. The shower walls are then regrouted with smooth, flexible, mould-resistant Mapei polymer grout in an appropriate colour.

This shower repairs service also includes the application of Mapei Kerapoxy to the prepared seams and floor joints. This is a 6mm
minimum covering around the internal corners. Your new epoxy will be colour matched to the shower to ensure a seamless appearance. Our epoxy grout has been specifically designed for wet area sealing, it will not crack, mould, deteriorate or let water penetrate. It is easy to clean and maintain, its colour will not fade and it will absorb normal building movement. In addition to this, Mapei Kerapoxy is impervious to chemical cleaning agents.

The shower base is then regrouted up to the internal of the shower screen and any existing sealant to the bottom of the screen is removed. This is resealed with new epoxy. If selected an EnduroShield protection coat is applied to the shower screen. If required a new shower screen, taps and other fittings can optionally be fitted to give your bathroom a complete makeover.
